Communication breakdown:
Exceptional skills are getting lost because of a struggle to read social cues or articulate ideas in a “standard” way.
You hired them for their professional excellence. Their pattern recognition is unmatched, their problem-solving is unique, but the standard corporate environment is holding them back.
High-stakes and specialised sectors have always attracted neurodivergent talent. The ability to focus deeply, spot anomalies in complex systems, or visualise intricate processes often correlates with conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia.
However, the workplace is rarely designed for them. Open-plan offices, rigid structures, and vague communication styles can create friction. You might have a brilliant specialist who struggles with time management, or a professional who produces incredible work but finds team meetings overwhelming. You might even have a leader who is direct to the point of being perceived as insensitive.
The problem isn’t their capability, it is the operating environment. You are running high-performance software on incompatible hardware. To fix it, you don’t need performance management, you need to understand their user manual.
At The Thrive Team, we provide specialised coaching to support neurodivergent individuals and their managers. We move the conversation away from “deficit” and towards “difference.”
We help individuals understand their own unique brain wiring, and we help them build strategies to manage their challenges, such as executive function or sensory processing, while doubling down on their strengths.
Neurodiverse teams are proven to be more innovative, but only if they are supported correctly. Our coaching focuses on:
You need “out of the box” thinking to solve complex organisational challenges. Neurodivergent minds are your greatest asset here. We ensure these unique thinkers can thrive in your teams without being overwhelmed by the pace of change.
You have specialists with decades of knowledge who may be struggling with evolving workplace demands or new digital ways of working. We help them adapt the environment to their needs, ensuring you don’t lose critical institutional knowledge.
Our coaching is highly flexible. It has to be. If you have met one neurodivergent person, you have met one neurodivergent person.
We help Managers understand how to lead neurodivergent staff with Neurodiversity Awareness Workshops.
We specialise in finding diverse technical talent and supporting them through the interview and onboarding process.
If you’re promoting a neurodivergent leader our Transitional Coaching can help with the transition.
Do I need a formal diagnosis?
No. We coach the person, not the label. Many people are on a waiting list for diagnosis or simply identify as neurodivergent. If you struggle with executive function, focus, or sensory processing, this coaching will help regardless of a medical slip.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Completely. The content of the sessions is private. However, we encourage a “three-way” meeting at the start of the coaching with the line manager to agree coaching goals and at the end to discuss any reasonable adjustments and ongoing support, but this is entirely led by the individual.
Can you help with ADHD specifically?
Yes. A large part of our work involves Executive Function coaching. This is the core challenge for ADHDers. We work on “body doubling,” dopamine management, and planning strategies that actually stick.
Is this just for the employee?
It is most effective when the manager is involved in the process (with permission). We often find that small adjustments from the manager—like sending meeting agendas in advance or allowing noise-cancelling headphones—transform the employee’s performance.
Let’s Talk about neurodiversity support.
