Michelle Betley-Jones

Client Relationship Manager

Michelle has over 25 years Sales and Account Management experience, working in the Travel Industry for various tour operators, such as P&O Ferries, Butlins, First Choice and Eurocamp.  By her own admission, she’s been very lucky to have travelled extensively with her work and has met some amazing talented people along the way.  A change of direction saw her working Shaw Trust for almost 3 years, supporting and coaching individuals with disabilities and complex needs back into work.

Her experience in Sales has given her strong communication skills and enabled her to build strong commercial relationships with businesses and be able to adapt quickly to ever changing market conditions, implementing tailored strategies for each account to increase sales within budget guidelines. At Shaw Trust she completed her Mental Health First Aider training and acquired Level 3 certificate in Advice and Guidance.

We’re delighted to have Michelle on the team. Get to know her as we ask her some questions to find out a bit more about her.

What is your career highlight?

There have been a few, but one that stands out is managing a re-negotiation with 2 large Retail Partners, who had recently merged and successfully maintaining a preferred status deal whilst reducing commission costs.

I ‘thrive’ when….

I’m walking my dog, Indy on the beaches of Norfolk or planning my next holiday or catching up with friends for food and drinks.

Favourite band?

I like a mix of music ranging from Chase & Status, Trance to Eminem, Madonna and Michael Jackson, his dance choreography was so ahead of time no-one has ever come close, in my opinion!

What book would you recommend?

I am Pilgrim and Year of the Locust by Terry Hayes and all the Orphan X books, thriller and espionage is the theme!
