Meet Rachel Atterbury

Rachel is an ICF Accredited Coach (ACC) with over 12 years’ leadership experience across the health, justice and the third sector. She has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams, managing organisational change and developing people at all levels. Alongside her coaching practice, Rachel designs and delivers leadership development programmes, coaching-led training, workshops and team facilitation, supporting organisations to develop confident leaders, strengthen teams and navigate change.

Rachel works with capable professionals and leaders who feel caught in constant firefighting, helping them create enough space to regain perspective, strengthen self-trust, and make intentional decisions about how they lead, work and live. Whether working one-to-one or with groups, she helps people move from reacting to what feels most urgent to focusing their time and energy on what matters most. Rachel believes that when people have the space to think clearly, they regain the confidence and agency to make better decisions, navigate challenges, and perform at their best.

Her style is warm, grounded and thoughtfully challenging. Drawing on her background in psychology and trauma-informed practice, Rachel creates environments where people feel safe to think differently, test out ideas, challenge assumptions, and learn without fear of getting things wrong. She brings energy, positivity, and curiosity to every session, helping people notice and celebrate progress they might otherwise overlook. Rachel is known for asking insightful questions, holding up a mirror to patterns that may otherwise go unnoticed, and creating the space for honest conversations that help people discover the solutions that work best for them.

Rachel holds an MSc in Forensic Psychology, a Postgraduate Certificate in Personal and Business Coaching and is an ICF Accredited Coach (ACC). She is also Mental Health First Aid trained.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys reformer Pilates, walking her dog, swimming, spending time at the beach and sharing great food and good conversation with friends and family.
